GLOBE VALVES
Globe Valves Globe Valves (Cast Steel) are tight sealing, easy operation, regulation valves for liquid and gaseous fluids over a wide range of line pressures and temperatures.
Globe valves are of Outside Screw & Yoke and with Bolted Bonnet Construction. The Outside Screw ensures easy lubrication and prevents corrosion and erosion by line fluids.
The body is designed for strength to meet the operating conditions. The bonnet is fitted with a bonnet bush to guide the stem and provide for back seating when the valve is open and under pressure.
The disc provides a fine bearing on a taper seat for tight sealing over a wide range of differential pressures. As the seating between disc and body seat ring is a narrow line contact, tight sealing can be achieved even if any foreign particle gets stuck to the seating area. The disc and stem are held together by a disc nut with allowance for disc to swivel. The disc nut is tack welded to prevent loosening in service and has slots for easy removal while servicing. The seating surfaces are ground and lapped.
The stuffing box with a high quality surface finish holds a minimum of 6 packing rings to enhance gland tightness and extend the life of packing rings.
A two-piece ball type gland arrangement minimizes stem scoring and binding. It also ensures uniform load on packing even when the gland bolts are not uniformly tightened.
Valves are offered with flange and but weld ends
Flanged - ASME / ANSI B 16.5 Raised Face (RF) finish to 125 to 250 Ra (AARH)
Butt weld - ASME / ANSI B 16.25 to suit the corresponding pipe schedule.
Valve Design BS 1873
Shell Wall thickness API 600
Valve face to face/ end to end dimensions ASME/ANSI B16.10
Pressure-Temperature ratings ASME/ANSI B16.34
Pressure testing API 598
Valves can also be offered with IBR certification.
Globe valves can be installed with flow either over or under the Disc. However, when used on drain lines the Globe valves must be installed with flow over the disc.
